Abstract   |   Authors   |   References
The paper presents the results of a research of influence of fish skin mucus on the ruminants’ blood platelets. It is shown that the use of skin mucus of carp and catfish activates platelet aggregation of sheep and cows which is comparable to the collagen, the strongest agonist of mammals’ platelets. It is found that all the mucus samples studied by means of the dot-blot method formed an immune-replica with polyclonal antibodies of rabbit specific to thromboplastin and prothromboplastin. When conducting mucus electrophoresis, it was found that a protein component with a mass in the range of 25–35 kDa was distinctly expressed in all samples, which may correspond to the mass of both thromboplastin and prothromboplastin
